Mvmccrm
Hello. First time poster here. Visiting Vegas for Feb 2nd to 6th. Would really like to identify the Mandarin Oriental for the above dates. Found this offer using bidding helper and hotwire.com If need be I'm willing to book the Mandarin separately for our final night if I cannot find a deal through hotwire. 5 * center strip fountains 117usd amenities as provided by bidding helper: Free Internet, Condo, Pet friendly, Suite, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Kitchenette, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower I believe this could be the Mandarin or the vdara? As I researched the betterbidding hotwire list the Mandarin is listed as a south strip hotel but the biddinghelper "is this a good price" menu has the Mandarin with the center strip hotels. Thanks! thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! We are working on updating the hotel lists for new zones that have recently been added or changed. This is not likely the Mandarin as that hotel is seen rarely (and i don't believe they have kitchenettes in the room) The Vdara would be a possibility, but given the Condo designation, my guess would be the Jet Luxury at the Vdara If you're hoping to target the 'regular' Vdara i would sooner have a look at this offer (confirm your dates on the landing page): 5* LV Strip - SW for $120 Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> which i believe to be the Vdara (i don't believe the Jet Luxury at the Vdara has ever been reported to the board thru PRICELINE, but of course you could be the first) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. Mvmccrm
Thanks for the help. When you guys do see the Mandarin on hotwire or Priceline which category area does it appear in just so I'm clear on which area to focus on. Center Strip or south strip for hotwire and is it SW STRIP OR SE STRIP for Priceline So being new to this forum and how it works I am wondering if I should now edit the title of this post stating didn't go for the deal? As I do want to keep looking and possibly start a new thread with different date/area etc.. Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same trip in the same thread. Once you ultimately do make a purchase use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the top right corner of the board (only visible to the OP of the thread) and you will be able to edit the topic title and report your win, as well as have the entire thread automatically moved to the correct section of the board (for instance if you originally posted in the PRICELINE section and ultimately used HOTWIRE) The Mandarin Oriental thru Priceline is currently located in their LV Strip - SW zone. On Hotwire The Mandarin Oriental is currently in the Center Strip - Fountains zone. (note that thru both services the boundaries are subject to change) If you're specifically looking for this property i would look elsewhere since as noted above it's seen very infrequently. If your flexible and willing to consider other properties, what is it that you are looking for in a hotel, what are some names of other acceptable properties, and what is your maximum budget per nite (before fees/taxes)? 39 minutes ago, Mvmccrm said: start a new thread with different date/area etc.. Mvmccrm
Thanks for the help. I agree with your advice to book the Mandarin elsewhere so that's what I will probably due for the night of the 5th (Sunday) The 2nd to 5th I would still like to get a 5 star north central or south strip but not too far to walk if it's north or south. Budget (assuming I am booking Mandarin elsewhere) is ideally 130 dollars. I am aware that getting a 5 * for that price may be tricky. 5* I'm not interested in are: jet at vdara, vdara, trump. I'm not opposed to a 4.5 star in those areas either but would prefer the 5. Link to comment

If you decide to book the Mandarin for the nite of 3/5 it would be appreciated if you used either of the links above, as it helps support this board and enables to continue to operate as a free service for everyone. The closest i think you will get to your $130 budget for a 5* would be this offer: 5* North Strip - Fashion Show Mall for $137.00 Free Parking Resort Suite Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> from the Hotwire Hotel List this matches previous reports for the Palazzo so that would be our best guess for this one Does this one work for your needs?
