jleeowpb
Considered a stretch to describe this as 3* property. But clean and convenient. Last minute booking for a trade show. Likely overpaid, but certainly better than booking directly. Satisfied with the rate and location. Link to comment
thereuare
You listed this as the I-Drive area which is not a Priceline zone... did you mean the Disney area? Thanks for the post. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

homeschoolmom
Yes, upon further review, I have found that the "flavor of the month" Palace is still a Wyndham. Why'd they change the name to Buena Vista Palace if they weren't yanking its branding is what I'd like to know. Of course the one we're discussing in this thread is the Wyndham on the corner of I-Drive and Sand Lake (?) Rd. Link to comment
runNgun
the Wyndham name and the franchising business was recently bought by the Blackstone Group. Blackstone kept the "nicer" locations for their real estate value and then sold the Wyndham franchising rights to Cendant. Some of the nicer locations kept were in Key West (Casa Marina, Reach Resort), Orlando (Palace), Puerto Rico and others. They no longer have Wyndham in the name but are still sold by Wyndham.com as part of the deal. Blackstone has bought Amerisuites, Wyndham, Wellesley Inns, La Quinta, Baymont, Summerfield Suites, Homestead Studio Suites, Crossland Suites in recent years. They then resold Amerisuites to Hyatt and Wyndham to Cendant (Ramada, Days, Wingate, Super 8, Hojo, Travelodge, etc.). Rumor is they will be "dumping" Baymont Inn soon. When they bought La Quinta, Baymont came with the purchase but since Blackstone wants to own and not franchise hotels Baymont will be sold (Cendant or Carlson are likely). Link to comment
