Using the linked bidding tool and Easy Tab (thanks for that!). Looking for help honing in on the potential hotels for these three 1/7/17 - 1/9/17:

4.5 Magnificent Mile - Water Tower - $67.00 USD

Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Children's activities

(Looks like could be W Chicago Lakeshore?)

4 Magnificent Mile - Water Tower - $68.00 USD

Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower

(Not sure, seems could be one of about four?)

4 Riverwalk - North Loop - $69.00 USD

Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower

(Probably Hyatt Regency on Wacker is my guess?)

Thanks!

I'll leave the specifics for AaronJB to comment on, but unless your only plans are the Navy Pier the Hyatt Chicago is more centrally located than the W Lakeshore.

Please try to let us know all the details/parameters of your trip (ie- require two beds) in your first post so that we know what to look for in order to best meet your needs.

Some people have commented that they've heard noise from the hospital next door to the Hyatt, but I've stayed at property on a few occasions and I've found it to be one of the quietest hotels I've stayed at downtown. It's a very nice hotel with larger-than-average rooms. The W certainly has more style/personality, but is also not centrally located - that's okay in Spring/Summer/Fall, but the way that Chicago can be in January, the Hyatt's location is certainly more optimal if you are going to be walking around much.

I'm not seeing this listing when searching - are you still seeing it when searching 2a/2c?

Are you looking for something in particular in terms of hotel? I'm very familiar with the city and would be happy to make a suggestion based on what you're looking for.

Sure - we're going to see a play at the Looking Glass Theater at Water Tower Water Works (821 N. Michigan) and also visit the Art Institute. Planning on pizza, Packers, etc. Maaaybe a pool (but looks like that gets us at the W).

Just saw these too:

Cool - any recommendations based on what I stated above? (we're going to see a play at the Looking Glass Theater at Water Tower Water Works (821 N. Michigan) and also visit the Art Institute. Planning on pizza, Packers, etc. Maaaybe a pool (but looks like that gets us at the W).)

The most reasonable option with a pool is the W Lakeshore. That's a fine hotel, especially after they revamped the rooms not that long ago. You may also get some view of the city if you get a room on a higher floor or lake view (although lake view is a paid upgrade.) The issue with the W is that it's somewhat out of the way near Navy Pier. That's okay when it's Spring/Summer/Fall - January, not so much.

The potential Cambria (Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower, 4* Mag Mile-WT $65, $6.95 resort fee should show on detail page, 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating) doesn't have a pool, but does have a terrific location just off the center of the Michigan Ave area.  Additionally, larger-than-average rooms. This would also be about a 3 minute walk from 821 N Michigan. As for Pizza, I'm a fan of Lou Malnati's, but Gino's East is a couple of doors away from the Cambria.

Also now seeing:

4.5* River North for $81.00
Free Internet
Pet Friendly
Boutique
Smoke Free
Fitness
Restaurant
Business
Hi-Speed Internet
Golf
Spa
Childrens Activities
Blind Accessible
Deaf Accessible
Travel Accessible
Room Accessible
Bathroom Accessible
Handicapped Parking
Roll-in Shower
==>  Likely the James.

Again, no pool, but this is a superbly located boutique right off Michigan Ave, but this is more towards the River. Eataly (which is a lot of fun) is a block South.
