Priceline Hotel: WANTED: 4.5* DC (Dupont Circle - Woodley Park) The Fairfax Hotel At Embassy Row

Hi

I'm looking at 4.5 * in Dupont for 5 nights 11th November. (either as Name Your Own price or PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal)  Pretty sure that it's the Fairfax.  However, I've noticed the Hotel isn't available for those nights either Direct with the Hotel or on any of the booking sites.  Seems strange that they'd be doing this, unless there's another Hotel that may have been upgraded to 4.5* ?
What's other members thoughts on this ?

While a hotel having no inventory for dates on their website and having discounted inventory available certainly happens, the Fairmont is also not the only 4.5* in this zone.

 

Is the Fairmont the only acceptable hotel? Is not, what is your desired budget per night/star rating?

Thanks for the reply Aaron. Fairfax is the only 4.5* on the Hotel list, but I appreciate it's not an exhaustive list. Think Kimpton Palomar has been mentioned previously as 4.5*, but all the Wins I've seen listed have been for the Fairfax. Don't want to go lower than 4.5*, and budget c. $250 a night.

The amenities shown on the bidding side of PRICELINE are amenities that are offered at every hotel in the zone at the star rating (and higher) that you're bidding... not a specific hotel that you would be bidding on.

 

For the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer i'm seeing this 4.5* Dupont Circle hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) with the amenities above... if this is the one you're seeing, best guess for this one would be the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Washington, DC.
