thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, best guess for this one would be the Hyatt Regency Chicago I will add that there is another 4* hotel offered in this zone for the same price but with a different amenity set: Boutique Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... best guess for this one would be the Swissotel Do either of these work for your needs? thereuare
Guess/comments for each: the first one: ==> same amenities that we listed above so guess remains with the Swissotel the other one: ==> again, same amenities as we posted above so the Hyatt Regency would be our best guess for this one another that is slightly less, $148 and is 4 star has this: ==> i'm not seeing this one on my own search for your dates but if you are still seeing this one the Club Quarters Wacker at Michigan has previously been seen with this amenity set so that would be my guess here And there is a 4.5 star option at $174 with these full amenities: ==> The Fairmont Chicago Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. cgreen1
Thanks! I'm going to search a little to get the right bed choice....I'll let you know. Appreciate the help Link to comment
AaronJB
I'd rather the Swiss than the Hyatt. Bed choice is not guaranteed unless it is given as an option during check-out (some listings do give that option, many do not.) I'm very familiar with the city - please let me know if you have any city or hotel questions. In terms of hotel, let me know more about what you are looking for and I'd be happy to offer some recommendations. cgreen1
Thanks. I thought the Swiss looked better. I see a 4 star on Priceline express for $148 with bed choice in Magnificent Mile--Gold Coast area. Has business center, restaurant, fitness center, non-smoking and bed choice. Any idea on which hotel that might be. My wife likes the look of the Acme, but I don't see it as ever coming up on here. Are you familiar with it? I can get a good rate on it Link to comment
thereuare
The Millennium Knickerbocker would be my guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer above. The Acme Company Hotel is 2.5* rated by PRICELINE. AaronJB
The Swiss offers the possibility of a nice view, given where it is. I also quite like the spot along the river, given the fact that the Michigan Ave area starts just to the North and just to the South you have the Art Institute and Millennium Park. On a nice day, one could also take a long walk to the museum campus. The Knickerbocker is in a superb location at the top end of the Michigan Ave area, but that property is quite a historic hotel. It was given a considerable renovation a while ago, but rooms are still on the smaller side. If you are looking for a more modern property, wouldn't be my choice. Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide and please let us know if you have any questions. I'm guessing Mile North? Link to comment
thereuare
Yes, best guess for the HOTWIRE offer above would be the MileNorth. AaronJB
I'll also note there's a 4.5* in the Downtown Chicago-RN area for $192 w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business. -- This would be a possible match for the Palomar. If the Palomar, fantastic location in River North near tons of restaurants, plus subway station right there. The MileNorth would also be a nice option, right off the center of the Michigan Ave area.
