Priceline Hotel: San Francisco Late April

Hi,

I am looking to book a hotel in San Francisco from April 28 to May 3. I am primarily using Priceline, but will follow any suggestions. Budget is to try to stay within $100, but location is more important, so a central location such as Union Square is the most preferable. I am looking for a decent hotel, so I don't know if that means 2 stars or 3 stars or better. Any suggestions on how to research and/or bid would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

San Francisco has gotten increasingly expensive over the last few years (most hotel markets have, but San Francisco more so) and my initial thought was that anything near $100 for something nice would not have a chance... but i was surprised to see that rates are (relatively) low for your dates.

Is the Fisherman's Whart zone acceptable?  If so, this 4* Fishermans Wharf hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $127/nite with Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Pet Friendly caught my eye.  Best guess for this property would be the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf which gets good reviews.

Is you only want to stay in the Union Square area HOTWIRE has a 4* hotel in the Union Square East zone for $125/nite with:

Fitness

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

Room Accessible

... best guess for this one would be the Villa Florence

Anything lower priced than these will likely be a much lower star rating and/or poor reviews.

Do either of the above work for your plans?

If your planning on driving on, parking fees are around 40-50/night in addition to your hotel rate. Fisherman's Wharf is a great location because you can get free street parking after 9pm to 7am. I plan out my parking ahead of time because I can't bear to know that I can get free parking literally outside my hotel from room.
