Hotwire Hotel: 4.5* Maui (Wailea - Makena) Hotel Wailea

Just booked my 5 night Maui vacation at Hotel Wailea - 4.5*, in the last week of Jan at $336 per night on Hot.wire. Not a huge bargain, but pleased with this property, it's a better price than the current online rates of $449-$479. The hotwire savings will pay for the car rental and a couple of dinners. Actually glad not to be in the hustle and bustle of the big resorts. The hotel pics look stunning, a naturalist's oasis with a fresh modern and organic vibe.  Only downside is that the beach is a short shuttle away (or long walk). Pool doesn't look fantastic, but it is new and doesn't seem to get over crowded - no kids, loud large groups is appealing to me. Got locked out of Amex deal for $499 at Four Seasons - which would have included 2 breakfasts (approx daily value -$80) and $100 credit to spend at the hotel. The more I read about the 4S hotel, even with its all inclusive services, it isn't the value (at a cost) it once was and who eats that much for breakfast anyway?
