Looking for a dog friendly hotel with an indoor pool tomorrow night in downtown or near Pittsburgh. Cohos Hotwire popped up -80$. Originally 178. Pet friendly 4 star. 90 percent approval. Any ideas would be great. We are looking for a stop over on our trip east that our child can go swimming. Thanks

Please confirm if you need a room for the nite of 12/29 or 12/30 as well as how many rooms/adults/children you're including in your search.

Using the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com, what is the complete set of amenities associated with this property? (assuming there is more than just a solo Pet Friendly amenity associated with it)

... Is one in a more walkable area if we go out to eat? Is one pool superior? ...

MAPS and HOTELS.com is amazing for answering such questions.  If you pull up the site and enter pittsburg and your dates, you get a list of hotels in the area on the left and all of them mapped on the right.

The list can be sorted, filtered or you can search on it.  If you click on a particular hotel name, you get a picture of the hotel and some more detail.  THEN, click on "SEE NEARBY Restaurants, Coffee, bars, etc." and you get all those sorts of things mapped from the particular hotel.  The list included grocery stores, parks, entertainment, shopping, etc., with distances from the hotel.

You don't mention how old your daughter is, but a ride on the Inclinator at Station Square (Monongahela Incline) is a worthwhile stop for both kids and adults, as:

1) where else can you ride an inclinator?!?!

2) really nice views at the top

Adults: $3.50 roundtrip

Children: $1.75 roundtrip

Bring exact change.

Thank you to everyone for all of your input about our trip to Pittsburgh.   My wife found a deal on Priceline for the Sheraton at $99.  This was only slightly higher than the likely option on Hotwire.  So, she booked it just to be safe.  We really appreciate the incline suggestion.  We took the incline to Mt. Washington for breakfast, and had a good time.  The pool was also perfect for our 7 year old daughter, and a nice way to break up our trip from the Midwest back to Maryland.  Thanks!

Thank you for closing this thread with your decision.

I assume the Sheraton was a regular rate purchase (and not a bidding nor a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal)?

Please remember to return to the BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE links here to begin your purchases... or use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases (and ask your wife to do the same if she is the one who will ultimately make your travel purchases)

Glad you enjoyed your stay and the inclinator.
