Bidding for a 4-star hotel in either Scottsdale or Downtown Phoenix.

• $65 in Scottsdale (countered/shown other options)
• $71 (added Downtown Phoenix) (rejected)
• $75 (added Apache Junction) ACCEPTED

Each room has a $20 resort fee which includes WiFi and parking.

 

Searching shows that this used to be a 2.5-star motel and reviews are skeptical of the "renovations" that elevated it to 4-stars. It also appears that their standard rooms do not offer a 2-bed option. 

 

I'll update with a shortened review once the stay is completed, but I'm not too excited for this "boutique" hotel.

The hotel itself was fine for a night, but definitely not deserving of a 4-star rating or their "resort" fee. It's not located near anything and there's nothing resort about it. 

 

More realistic star rating would be 2.5/3-star non-resort. Ultimately would not recommend at its current star level.
