Priceline Hotel: Breckenridge - Priceline Bidding

Hello,

I am traveling to Breckenridge, CO in Feb. 2016 for 3 nights. (Feb 3-6) Looking to stay at either a 3.5 or 4 star.

I am toying around the idea of bidding as I have never done so before and I just want a great deal, and I dont have a preference for an exact location in Breckenridge, it all looks fairly accessible.

So I guess my question is has anyone had success on bidding in this area, and any advice going into it? Would you recommend bidding on a 4 star over a 3.5? I am not too familiar with star ratings of hotels there, but a hotel with a bar/ lounge would be nice.

I read someone looked at the going rates for an equivalent 4 star hotel and bid 60% less than the amount it was listed for. Is that a good starting point when bidding?

Thanks for any and all help!

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

60% is aggressive, but sometimes is possible. Bidding (in terms of where to start and what to expect) really becomes very much a case-by-case situation, depending on the city, time of year and other factors.

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?
