Nawafe
Hello there, I need your help again. I am attending a regular conference in Las Vegas (it will be at cesars) and I will be taking my family with me…I am looking to stay in a five star hotel in the north strip area…this will probably our only chance to go to vegas as a family, so I want it to be nice. Here is the problem, for some reason, most of the rates I am getting are very high..i tried to bid for 250, which brings the total with all fees to $1,650 and I was still not successful. Then I paid attention to some of the other posts for guys who got the venetian for 230 or 250 I forgot for the same period, but not exactly only for the first three days…when I tried that in other sites, I did see the other sites showing lower prices from 10/3 to 10/6 so I am not sure what is going on on the 6th or the 7th in Vegas. What do you suggest? Should I split my stay? All thoughts are welcome. Link to comment
Nawafe
It would be nice if i can avoid Trump Hotel Link to comment
AaronJB
If you want to avoid the Trump, I wouldn't bid and would instead go to PRICELINE EXPRESS or Hot.wire. There is no way to avoid a particular hotel when bidding. Additionally, if you are more than two people, there is a real risk that you get 1 bed. Again, I'd rather suggest PRICELINE EXPRESS (and you can look for a listing with bed choice) or Hot.wire (where you can indicate the amount of people in the party.) What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Link to comment
Nawafe
Thanks a lot for your kind reply. my budget is 1,500 to 1,600 for the whole stay, including ALL fees..and i am stretching here :(.. Link to comment
AaronJB
How many people in your party? (adults/children). While you mention it would be nice if you could avoid the Trump, is that something that would be acceptable if the price is right or not at all? Would switching hotels be acceptable? If you switch, would a 4* be okay for the last couple of nights? Lastly, if there's more than 2 people in your party, is one bed an acceptable risk? Unfortunately, I think $250 is not going to be enough for a 5* in North Strip for these dates, but I'd happy to discuss some alternatives, depending on what would be acceptable. Nawafe
we are two adults and two children (4 & 1). If switching between two hotels will solve the problem, then it is ok..but that is why i said i want to avoid trump, if i am going to switch, then i want to make sure one of the two hotels is something like the venetian, bellagio or Pallazo. If i find a good deal for the whole five nights, then even the trump will be ok with me. Thanks again... Link to comment
thereuare
Given your children are young, would you be comfortable booking for double occupancy (and having the kids sleep on a pull-out sofabed OR dealing with any additional fees for a rollaway at check-in if necessary)?
