Priceline Hotel: Toronto Bid History

I am trying to get a hotel for 9/23-9/27.  It seems that room rates are quite high for this period for some reason.  The TIFF is the week before but I'm not aware of anything going on during the period I am looking to book.

 

I have tried:

Downtown SW

Downtown SE

Bids up to $110 (that was a typo mistake, thankfully I didn't get one!) but it then said try your bid at $175.

Strangely I got a follow up e-mail with a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at $87, but when I clicked through no such thing showed up.

Bids up to $75

Downtown SW

Bids up to $60

 

I am going to have to keep trying in coming days but it's not looking good.
