I changed my dates and won't stay in Melbourne anymore going straight to New Zealand.

Yes, please. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans.

For the hotel above, are you including 2adults/1child in your search as i'm seeing this property listed for $140/nite (and $120 when searching for 2adults/0children)

The HOTWIRE offer has not yet been reported to the board... the Sofitel or the Hotel St Moritz would each be possibilities, but these would just be a guess and could be something else as well, although the 4.5/5.0 TA rating should give a bit of comfort that this should be a very nice stay, regardless.
