Freedman
Any thoughts on what I should be paying?I am ready to book now, but haven't really thought of a budget yet.... Link to comment
thereuare
You'll need to let us know your maximum bid if you're going to be able to suggest a strategy. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Freedman
When I went last July I paid $99. I know this is as low as it goes, but I guess around $150 Link to comment
thereuare
I don't think you have a chance given your current budget.Have you checked what direct rates are for these dates... some of these nites at the Venetian are $300+. TBQ
These proposed dates coincide with the National Association of Broadcasters Show (probably not the best time to secure the best bargains, unfortunately). Link to comment
Freedman
Thanks for that advice TBQ.Looks like we'll have to revise the budget. So the best I can find from easyclicktravel is $267 per night. Any chance of getting Venetian on priceline between $150 and $250? Link to comment
thereuare
Once you revise your maximum price we'll suggest a strategy as to how to proceed. The last two nites are going to be the tough ones!Given that you can book the Venetian for the last two nites for $267 thru EasyClickTravel, and that it's cancellable, i would reserve those two nites that way since those are going to be the "tough nites" thru the opauque providers.I would then bid for all four nites (not likely to win), then for just the first two nites. I think you have have a chance at getting decent rates thru Priceline for the first two nites... then you can pair that up with the last two nites from EasyClickTravel. If you want to go this route and need a more detailed approach (bidding strategy and/or what to do first) let us know.Your thoughts on the above? Freedman
I think Vegas is out now as the prices that week are prohibitive Link to comment
