Hotwire Hotel: Help ID Hampton, VA hotel 3* 7/18-7/19

I need help in identifying a hotel in the Hampton, VA area for 7/18-7/19/15.  The full amenities are:

 

 FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free breakfast, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Business center, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower

 

Seems to be Holiday Inn Express Hampton - Coliseum Central, but it says that only 20% recommend and this hotel gets good reviews.  Could this be the correct hotel even though the recommendations don't line up?

Ok, thank you for the help. I will post when I win something. This area does not seem to have many deals right now. I will also post a recent win in the dc area.

With just 10 days to go before your arrival hotels have a very good idea of their occupancy levels, and if they were very low, they would have likely already made adjustments to increase occupancy for these dates.

The issue is that there are just not many hotels at the 3* or higher level in this zone... with little competition they likely don't need to offer deep discounts to fill their rooms (or at least not for a one nite solo Saturday stay mid-summer)

Is this an optional trip that you simply won't take if rates do not come down at all? What is your expected 'buy' point for this stay?

Are able to find anything acceptable (even if below 3 stars) within your budget using MAPS and HOTELS.com?

Yes, I get the reasons why I am having trouble finding ding a good deal. We just need a room for a one night stop over on the way to the beach. I almost always use Priceline when getting a hotel- I hate paying full price unless it's a decent deal. When using Priceline for an extended stay I try to do 3.5 stars or better, however I am not opposed to going to a lower star level or even away from that area for a quick overnight trip. What was the room rate of the 3* hotel above? How high, and for which zones, have you bid on PRICELINE?

What is the best deal you're able to find in the area thru MAPS and HOTELS.com?

The Hotwire price is $59 which is a good price, but it does get bad reviews.  I have not tried bidding yet on Priceline, just looking at the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals and Hot.wire first to get an idea of what I could get with a bid.

Yes, I realize that.  Sorry, I stated that incorrectly.  I meant to say that I wanted to see if I could get a good deal on Hotwire or Express Deals before I started bidding.  I will follow up when I decide to start bidding.  Thanks
