My goal is to get a 3.5* or better for a maximum of $90. Is this even realistic? I would really like to have a max for the night of $80 or $85...but I'm sure that's pushing it. You may be able to get a 4* hotel within $90, but if the goal is the least expensive 3.5* or better, i would bid as follows: When bidding 3.5* in Pittsburgh you have FOURTEEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 3.5* Downtown... Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone... taliategan Posted February 17, 2015 Report Share Posted February 17, 2015 If you bid on Priceline for a 3.5*, I'm not sure how important being in downtown is to you. The Priceline downtown zone does extend across the Mon river into station square and the Sheraton in station square is a possibility. Not a bad hotel, but it is not in downtown. If you bid for a 4*, you should be able to avoid this possibility. Link to comment
