Hotwire Hotel: Help identify 5* Warsaw hotel

This looks to be a new property recently added to the HOTWIRE system and i don't have any guess for this one, but with only 40% recommended, do you want to stay at a place where 3 out of 5 previous guests wouldn't likely return?

I would if the hotel is really 5* and from a chain where I have status and could (possibly) snag an upgrade. Also I'm not sure how reliable "XX% recommended" feature is.

What caught my eye is "casino", this is no LV so should be relatively rare for a hotel to have one, although I don't know a site allowing to search by this amenity.

I believe the Marriott and Hilton both have casinos, but they are each currently 4.5/5.0 TA rated, whereas the hotel above id 4.0 rated, so i discounted them as possibilities.

If you felt like rolling the dice you could see if the same property is offered for the first (or last) nite of your stay and then again for the other nite. If so, you could purchase the solo nite in order to 'look behind the curtain'. If you're happy with the results purchase the second nites, if not, make alternate plans for the balance of your stay.

I'm considering booking a hotel on Hot.wire. One of the amenities promised is indoor pool. I've figured out a couple of hotels I could get, but reading tripadvisor reviews, I see complaints that although the hotel advertises having a pool, they actually send people to neighboring hotel to use their pool, and there is even a charge for that. If I end up getting this hotel, will Hotwire cancel the booking and refund if I complain? What's your take on this?

Please provide the details of your trip and the hotel currently being offered (star rating, city, zone, room rate per nite, dates of your stay, and full list of amenities associated with the offer) and we will have a look.

What hotel do you think it is?

I have merged your two threads since it pertains to the same stay.

Are you still referring to the 5* hotel above? If so, is it the Indoor Pool or the Casino that you would be questioning (and intending to try to seek a refund for the lack of the listed amenity)?

I can't speak for what HOTWIRE will actually do as situations like this are handled on a case-by-case basis, but they usually are very good at refunding hotels in concrete situation such as this (vs. questioning a star rating), although it does get a little grey if a pool is not on premise and is nearby... same with a casino (and do they provide access to each of these via Shuttle, what if you don't have a car, do you have to walk, what if it's raining are you still expected to walk to gain access to the listed amenity, etc. etc).

Let us know what you decide, but as per my original comments, i would stay clear based upon the lower user percent recommendation, and book something that i thought i would be happy with without needing to get into the hassle of disputing the purchase.
