Hi,

I am booking 3 rooms for 7 people in Boston from March 31st to April 2nd. I need to identify the following:

  • Price: $228 down from $367
  • Tripadvisor; 4/5, with 4.5/5 for each of the individual rankings
  • 90% recommend it with 944 total reviews
  • Ammenities:
    • Pet friendly
    • Indoor pool(s)
    • Smoke-free rooms
    • Fitness center
    • Pool(s)
    • Restaurant(s)
    • Business center
    • Internet access
    • Spa services

Any ideas of which hotel could this be?

Thanks!

Cheers

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates:

Pet Friendly

Indoor Pool

Smoke Free

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

Spa

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

Roll-in Shower

... if this is what you're seeing, the Hyatt Regency would be my best guess for this one.

I don't have any firsthand experience with this property, but i do see a 4.5* in the Copley zone for about the same price ($239/nite) which i'm guessing is the Westin Copley and is generally considered well located and good reviews:

Indoor Pool

Smoke Free

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Spa

If you like Boutique properties there is also this 4.5* West End-TD Garden property for $200/nite:

Free Internet

Pet Friendly

Boutique

Smoke Free

Fitness

Restaurant

Business

Laundry

Hi-Speed Internet

Spa

Roll-in Shower

... my guess here would be the Onyx.

I've stayed at the Westin and it is attached to a large shopping mall if that appeals to your group.

... any personal opinion you might have on this hotel? and for this price?

I've stayed in both.

I rate the Westin quite a bit higher, although the Hyatt isn't bad.

The Westin has better service, is quieter, and has nicer, newer rooms.

Both hotels have some rooms with very good views, but the Westin has a higher percentage of such rooms.

You might prefer the Hyatt if you particularly want to walk around in the historic section, since it's right in the middle -- also theaters and Chinatown. The Westin is in a more pleasant, upscale neighborhood, with some history at the doorstep but less (the Back Bay was literally a bay in colonial times--it's all landfill).

The Westin adjoins the Copley Place mall, which in turn adjoins the Prudential Center, so you can stroll and shop and dine comfortably even if the weather becomes forbidding. Oh, but you aren't going until Spring so that's not so much of an issue.
