kirikara
Hi everyone,I know I am playing a risky game here but I want to see what you think.I have friends coming over from oversea staying at The Manhattan.Fully booked online, I was able to get a refundable reservation for$280 a night. Plus tax it gets me to $650 which seems pricey for this place. Hotwire has a 3.5 star for $210 for these same date in times square. original price shows as $334 which is the price listed on hotel website.Amenities listed (I couldn't use your search, work pc blocks it)Amenities Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access Given the list, I deducted it could be the Manhattan because it is the only one with laundry.. What do you think?I know I run the risk of getting another hotel. But there is a saving of $120 after tax, plus there is the thrill of getting right (if I do) ;-) Link to comment
AaronJB
Please provide a follow-up for your prior Chicago Hotwire and Chicago Hotwire (second) threads (post what you decided for those stays within those threads, then reply to this thread and we would be happy to take a look at the above post.) Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
kirikara
Thanks for the reminder.I didn't realize I had that other open Peninsula thread. I actually came in a month ago to update the second one. I swear I had posted an update..Was this thread move or merged? Maybe I forgot to click submit? Anyway, I will post & report right away. thereuare
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing my best guess for this one would be the Hotel Mela. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know whatever you decide for this stay or if we can be of further help. thereuare
You can use our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com to search within one mile of the address of the Sheraton to see if there are any acceptable options where the savings would be worth staying at a nearby hotel.
