Sunflower_77
Hello, I am planning to be in NYC from Oct12-14. I want to stay at a 4* hotel in MTE or MTW. My budget for 4* place is $200/night preferably including tax and fee. Is this too low? Also, I would like a room with 2 double/full beds. Link to comment
AaronJB
PRICELINE only guarantees one bed/double occupancy. Given NYC's smaller-than-average rooms, two beds (when available) is often an upgrade (although the hotel may be unwilling to offer that option.) A better option when needing two beds in NYC is either PRICELINE EXPRESS (look for a listing that offers bed choice and two beds.) Are you seeing anything of interest on PRICELINE EXPRESS or when searching HOTWIRE for more than double occupancy? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
Sunflower_77
I've been rejected and unable to make a reservation using Priceline. I increased up to $220/night with 4* but still no win. I would like to go to NYC from Oct 16th to 18th and want to stay in MTE or MTW. Could you give me some suggestions or advices? Link to comment
AaronJB
What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? For 16th-18th, in those zones, I think you're likely looking at closer to $250 per night for a 4*. There's a 3.5* in the nearby ESB zone on Hot.wire for $189 (you may see a slightly different price) w/Boutique, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry. This would be a possible match for the Martha Washington - would this be acceptable? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment

thereuare
Glad to see you have confirmed your hotel and are pleased with the results. There are a few Doubletree properties in NYC, can you please add a reply to this thread confirming which zone the one you received is located in (if you're not sure of the zone please reply with the address and we'll figure it out from there) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
