I need a hotel, downtown Seatlle for two seperate night, the 17th and the 19th. (staying in Victoria the 18th).  I'm seeing a decent amount of 3.5 or 4* under $100. Below is my bid history.

6/30  10:45a  4* Night of 7/19 $70 Denied
6/30  11:05a  4* Night of 7/17 $80 Denied
7/1    1:27p  4* Night of 7/17 $85 Denied
7/1    1:28p  3.5* Night of 7/17 $85 Denied
7/1    1:29p  3.5* Night of 7/19 $75 Denied
7/3    9:04a  4* Night of 7/17 $90 Denied
7/3    9:05a  3.5* Night of 7/17 $90 Denied
7/3    9:06a  3.5* Night of 7/19 $80 Denied
7/7    8:10a  4* Night of 7/17 $93 Denied
7/7    8:11a  3.5* Night of 7/17 $93 Denied
7/7    8:14a  4* Night of 7/19 $90 Denied
7/7    8:14a  3.5* Night of 7/19 $90 Denied
7/8    9:48a  4* Night of 7/17 $98 Denied
7/8    9:49a  3.5* Night of 7/17 $98 Denied
7/8    9:51a  4* Night of 7/19 $95 Denied
7/8 9:52a  3.5* Night of 7/19 $95 Denied

Do I stay around $100 and wait for price to come down as we get closer?  Or start going up $5-10 per day?  Anything over $150 will cause me to revisit location, as additional $ could be spent on car and simply drive to desired area.

Help?

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

We'll use this thread for the 7/17 stay - please start a new thread for the additional night.

Additionally, please take a look at this thread regarding re-bidding: re-bidding

Unfortunately, it looks like something must be going on in the core areas of Seattle for 7/17 with rates as high as they are. Based on the rates I'm seeing, I don't think $150 is going to be enough for 3.5*+ downtown for this night.

Which outlying area/s would be acceptable?

Let us know which zones, by PRICELINE name, are acceptable at the 3.5* level and how high you'd like to bid... if that is rejected let us know if the same zones are acceptable at the 3* level and how high you're willing to bid at that rating?

We'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Unfortunately your $120 target is not likely going to be in the right ballpark.

As per your topic for the other leg of your stay for this trip:

Using our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com search within 3 miles of Seattle for your dates, remove all star ratings less than 4 stars... what is the best rate you're able to find at a 4* or better hotel in the zone(s) that you're bidding?
