contactme
Hi,I am looking to book a 3* & up hotel in Buffalo. Has anybody recently tried any bids and won and can give me a ballpark figure to work with ? Any other pointers will be helpful. Is it reasonable to expect that I can get a hotel for ~$70 USD ? Should I got a lower star hotel for that amount ? Thanks Link to comment

Romelle
Buffalo-Amherst has a Priceline.Express 2* for your date for $70 (even lower with the discount in Thereuare's signature line). It looks to be 5-7 miles from downtown Buffalo, depending upon where it is in the area. Downtown was a lot higher. Romelle Link to comment

thereuare
My guess is that $70 will be too low for a 3* hotel and that you'll need to be closer to, or slightly over, the $100 area to be successful for a 3 star hotel. If you want to give it a try you can start with the following, and if rejected, we'll discuss your options from there... When bidding 3* in Buffalo you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. Select 3* Downtown... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* Airport... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* Amherst... Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $53, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $55, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* Downtown and Airport... Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $63, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* Downtown and Amherst... Bid $58, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $63, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3* Downtown, Airport, Amherst... Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $68, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $70 Any questions feel free to ask. AaronJB
Unfortunately, I think you're still looking at a little over $100USD for a 3*+ in the downtown area. Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
contactme
I can already book 3* hotel in 100 USD+tax through another site , knowing the hotel name as well. So it it is going to be around that price, probably I wouldn't spend more time on priceline. thanks for your help. Link to comment
