Priceline Hotel: 3.5* San Juan (Ocean Park - Isla Verde) Courtyard by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde

I have seen a lot of best guesses on people bidding on 3.5 hotels in Isla Verde and the best gestimate seems to be the Courtyard by Marriott.  I'm trying to get the Embassy Suites, any idea how to do so, and do I have a better shot at getting via Price.line or Hot.wire?

There is no way to guarantee or increase the odds of getting a particular property via the discount services, which is the trade-off for the kind of rates offered. With Price.line, when you bid for a particular hotel and star rating you have to be willing to accept ANY hotel at that star rating in that zone. With Hot.wire, there is usually one hotel at each star rating for each set of dates and there is no way to know if the listing offered will change between now and your date. If you do wind up with the hotel you want, it's wonderful, but the services are more about getting *a* hotel at a great price than a specific hotel.

 

Additionally, the other note that I have is that people waiting for a particular hotel to appear may miss other satisfactory deals that could go away (and/or prices rise) while they're waiting for a hotel that may never appear for their dates.

 

What are your date/s of travel and is the Embassy the only acceptable property?

Was Successful on first try at $85.00.  My bill with taxes & fees is $103.00.  Is there any add'l resort fee that I have to pay the hotel?
