Priceline Hotel: 4* Portland (Downtown) The Westin Portland

I started my bidding using the PRICELINE link on this board.  Hotwire had a "Downtown Portland area" 4-star hotel listed at $101, so I decided to bid lower than that on a 4-star hotel.

I started bidding on a 5-star hotel at $110 and then a 4.5-star hotel at $110 in Downtown Portland.  Both were rejected.  I then bid for a 4-star hotel, so I dropped to 4 stars and bid $80.  That was rejected, so I increased it to $85, then $90, and finally to $95, which was accepted.

The Westin Portland is currently ranked #24 of 132 hotels in Portland on tripadvisor.  The cheapest online rate I saw for The Westin Portland was $210.   I am very happy with this result.
