mmhassa2
We need 4 nights of accommodation in Orlando, with free parking a must as we're driving there. Need it for May 12-May16. Really not familiar with hotels in Orlando, but need something that's clean and being close proximity to Magic kingdom or Disney downtown would be nice. Willing to be a 10-15 min drive from the disney area. Need something at least 3* and max budget is $50/night so $200 in total. Is our max a fair/realistic price? I've seen quite a few 2 or 2.5 start for under $60 which includes parking and sometime even free breakfast, so hoping bidding will result in a higher star of hotel vs booking via PRICELINE EXPRESS or even other sites like Expedia etc? I really don't know how the bidding works so some step by step instructions would be great. Link to comment
thereuare
If Free Parking is a must have i would start by going to PRICELINE and clicking, one by one (so only one zone is selected at any time), the zones you're willing to accept and see which show FREE PARKING (the 'P') as a guaranteed amenity at the 3* level... these would be the only zones that you would be able to bid, since there is no other way to ensure Free Parking from the hotel that accepts your bid. If the above exercise does not turn up any offers that are within your desired zone and star level, your next best options would be HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS (once again looking for hotels that show the Free Parking amenity) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you turn up and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
mmhassa2
Thanks. Ok we'll take a chance and will be ok with additional charge for parking. Does that open up more options? Can we stay within $50/night for at least an 3*? I'm not sure what price I should start bidding? Link to comment

Willing to be a 10-15 min drive from the disney area.If you look at the PRICELINE map of zones (use our search box on the top right corner of this page), which zones fit your criteria and you're willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone? Need something at least 3* and max budget is $50/night so $200 in total. If your budget is $50 all-in, what is this in terms of bid price? RESORT FEE OF $15.15 CADPlease change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation.
