Walker Brothers in Glenview (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g36052-d509499-Reviews-Walker_Bros_Original_Pancake_House-Glenview_Illinois.html) is an option for breakfast - the Walker restaurants are really a local institution.
