thereuare
Please start by following up your previous Hotwire Plymouth and Hotwire Cleveland threads with whatever you ended up doing for each of those trips, then reply to this thread and we will have a look at the trip above. Also, have you researched other options yet and/or are you comfortable wtih an 'opaque' purchase? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB
Additionally, this is a large zone - are you trying to be in Evanston or are you okay with Skokie? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
Billybilly300
Tasks completed. I am comfortable with an opaque purchase and any of these three cities are fine. Not fond of prices I found through traditional websites. Link to comment

thereuare
My best guess for the property above would be the Holiday Inn Skokie. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or the links in our Support Page for your hotel direct purchases where we have links to most of the major hote l chains and online booking agencies. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Billybilly300
I will not be booking this hotel, reviews on TA are quite poor, please consider this topic closed and I will post again if I find something else. Thanks for the help. Link to comment
AaronJB
Please post any updates in this thread. I'm familiar with this area - please let me know if you have any questions. Are you okay with further North? The Glenview/Northbrook areas usually offer either a better value or better hotels for similar money. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
Billybilly300
I'm heading to Chicago for a bowling tournament at Waveland Bowl which is on March 6-7. It seems like that Evanston/Skokie area is my best choice in terms of hotel rates along with free parking. I've found a 3.5* hotel in that area for $64/night. Should I post the info for that hotel on this thread or start a new one? Link to comment

yellowdog
Best guess would be Doubletree Hotel And Conference Center Chicago North Shore Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. AaronJB
I'm heading to Chicago for a bowling tournament at Waveland Bowl which is on March 6-7. That's very cool. If you are driving in and driving to Waveland, I'd stay at the Doubletree. The hotels in Evanston do charge for parking (although they rarely show up on HOTWIRE / PRICELINE), but not nearly as much as the hotels downtown. The Doubletree is also not a far drive from Hackney's, which is an institution in in the 'burbs - it opened in 1939 and still sits tucked away in a residential area that built up around it.
