LisainVA
What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?About $150 - 175.Otherwise it seems to make sense to take a PRICELINE EXPRESS for a 3.5 stars in Embaracadero for 138$ night, or Union Square West - Nob Hill for $161. As there is a coupon for 10 percent discount. suggestions welcome. Basically want to stay nearish market street and not in a sketchy area. Link to comment
thereuare
About $150 - 175.Are you willing to pay more for a 4* vs. a 3.5* OR is the goal the least expensive 3.5* in either the USE or Soma zones? Also, your previous bidding risks an overbid as you're adding 'live' zones near the end of your bidding as well as raising your bid price while lowering your star rating at the same time. If you let us know if you want to first bid for a 4* up to your limit or try for the lowest price 3.5* or better we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. LisainVA
My goal is the best level of hotel I can get for $170 within either USE or Soma. 4* would be great, but don't know if that's available for $175.Thanks Link to comment
thereuare
I'm not sure what you're referring to with the $175 figure, but if you're goal is a 4* hotel in the USE or Soma zone with a maximum bid of $170, you can try as follows:When bidding 4* in San Francisco you have SIX re-bid zones (at the 3.5* level there are FIVE re-bid zones). If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* USE...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $153, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 4* Soma...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $153, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE...Select 4* USE and Soma...Bid $158, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $163, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $168, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170If the above is rejected, you can close the browser, once again us the board link to re-access PRICELINE, and retry the same strategy at the 3.5* level. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. LisainVA
Followed all the bidding strategies for 4* and went up to $180 dollars. No acceptances of bids. :( Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm seeing a 3.5* in the USW area on HOTWIRE for $129 - the price you see may vary slightly. Is lowering your star rating an option? Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
