Priceline Hotel: 3.5*(??) Chicago (Airport MDW) Chicago Marriott Midway???

My 1st time with Priceline and I have not had any luck. I need th dates of Dec3-5 in the Millennium Park, Loop and Grant Park & North Michigan areas....I've tried 2.5-4*'s at $85, 95, & 100 with no success. Have I waited too late??

before you take that Hotwire deal, I would at least try $106 on Priceline. You might be able to get a 4* for that price. (I LOVE beating Hotwire!)

Additionally, do you need to be in the Millennium Park area? If you are going to be on Michigan Ave and in that area for a lot of the time, you may not want to end up at the bottom end of the Millennium Park zone in December, unless there's a significant discount in price.

I tried for days rebiding from $85-135.....2.5-4* ...in Michigan ave, Magnificant mile- river north, and Loop area and was rejected everytime for Dec 3-4. We finally decided to stay Dec 3 near Midway for $59 in a Merriott and did a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for Dec 4 on Hotwire and got the W Chicago for $150. I will try again not so near the holidays.

For the Midway hotel was this on PRICELINE, HOTWIRE, or did you book direct? Please include in your post the star rating, city, zone, full hotel name (Courtyard, Marriott, Residence Inn by Marriott, etc, etc), date of stay, room rate per nite, and if HOTWIRE the amenities shown before your purchase.
