Priceline Hotel: Last minute booking - advantage?

I am heading to vegas 9/20 -9/23. I usually stay at one of the Caesers properties on the strip, but due to added resort fees and not getting as many promos I would like to try somewhere new. I am leaning Fremont, I am pretty open to anywhere. I guess I was wondering if there's benefit to waiting til the last minute since I could stay about anywhere with a casino and I am not picky. Price is flexible, ideally less than 100/nt. Great site, thanks for the help!

Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, over the course of the next two weeks... it is all based upon on actual reservations/cancellations come in relative to expected reservations (ie- supply vs. demand) However, i will add that rates in Vegas fluctuate more often then just about any other market in the country.

There are plenty of options at various star levels for under $100/nite so other than 'something different' what is it that you are looking for from this stay... do you have a minimum star rating in mind? Do you need/want to be able to walk to other casinos or is a 'locals' casino with no other property in the immediate area also acceptable?

Doesn't really make a difference I've found, I haven't had luck really bidding on anything in the past year, I just end up getting a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal, those seem to be almost if not as low as they are going to go... Also this is one of the most expensive weeks in Vegas. There is a lot going on that weekend. Iheartradio festival among other things (which means nearly all the MGM properties are booked up). Deals are just not going to be easy to come by that weekend.

There is no way to know if more rooms will open up last minute/if rates will come down, but there have been less-and-less instances of this in the last couple of years as rate/s and demand have climbed.

This is definitely a busy period - are you seeing anything of interest on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE Express?

Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.
