NY NYC Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge Brooklyn

Had a wonderful 4 night stay here at the end of July. This is a fantastic place to be if you are trying to find value for money in the NYC area by staying outside of Manhattan, and not going into New Jersey.

Check in was a swift process, and we were asked if we would like a room with just a king or two doubles. We took the king, and were given an 8th floor room in the south tower. Another member of our party who checked in 20 minutes earlier was given a 9th floor room in the north tower. The views weren't great, as we looked into the Metrotech complex, but we weren't there to spend a lot of time in our hotel room. The suites were very spacious, and I think we received an even larger one because the room was designed for the handicapped in mind. The room was always clean, and we tipped the housekeeping staff accordingly.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Right across the street in the back of the hotel is the Jay Street-Metrotech subway station, which offers the A,C,F and R lines. About a block or so away is the Borough Hall station which offers the 2,3,4, and 5 lines. The area around Borough Hall looks interesting enough for us to explore the next time we are in New York, as we only utilized this station our last night in the city. If you wanted a Yellow Cab, the hotel is on Adams Street, which is a very busy thoroughfare. We had no problems hailing a cab, and trips into Manhattan were quick and reasonably priced.
