hkdavda
Hi,Looking for 3 rooms for July 4th night in Seattle downtown area - Pike Place.Found a 4 star hotel on Hotwire. 80% recommended with following Amenities - Pet Friendly, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High Speed Internet Access, Accessible for the Blind, Accessible for the Deaf, Accessible Path of Travel and In-room accessibilityFound a 3.5 star on Priceline Express deals - Guest Rating of 7.0 - Restaurant, Business Center and Fitness Center Any idea on the hotels? Also, do you think I will have better luck bidding instead on Priceline? Thanks! Link to comment
yellowdog
HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please try the following:use this link to search HOTWIREfrom the search results page click the offer for this hotelon the next page click BOOK NOW (no worries about purchasing by accident since no credit card information is entered up to this point)on the left side of the page click the 'See all amenities' linkIf you follow the above, do you now see more amenities then previously? How many adults/children did you search for? Also, do you think I will have better luck bidding instead on Priceline? In terms of price or quality of the hotel? Most of the times can you undercut the price on HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS deals. So you need to decide what is most important to you for a given stay, the lowest possible price OR the ability to take an educated guess as to the property you may receive. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog. hkdavda
I used the links provided to do the search. For PRICELINE bid, what is good bid to start with? I am a little selfish so hoping for low price and a good hotel :)For HOTWIRE, the hotel showing up today has different amenities than yesterday. I searched for 3 rooms, 6 adults. The amenities after clicking 'Book Now' seem to be matching the main hotel pageOn Hotwire, found a 4 star for $147 with 80% rating. Amenities include:Free Internet Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access On HOTWIRE, found a 3.5 star hotel for $149 with 90% rating. Amenities include:Free Internet Pet friendly Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center High-Speed Internet Access Link to comment

hkdavda
Hi,Used your PRICELINE link for the booking. Started ay $110 and kept going up following your instructions. Booked "Silver Cloud Hotel - Seattle Stadium" for $143 a night. Booked 3 rooms for 7/4 night.By the way, when I was up to $130, they countered me with an offer of $161. Obviously, I did not go that route and kept bidding using your technique. Thanks for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success! Hope you're pleased with the outcome and this property works well for your group. This hotel is on the outskirts of 'core downtown' but they do offer shuttle service to the Pike Place Market.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
