alstroe Posted June 3, 2013 Report Share Posted June 3, 2013 Needed a hotel close to Hoover Dam on a Saturday night, when hotels on the Las Vegas strip were pricey. Very disappointed in this hotwire offering. The hotel was in some disrepair and the room was not at all clean, though it was spacious. Black-out curtains were falling apart. The casino and lobby were smelly with smoke and unavoidable. At check-in, they told me the kids were not to go into the casino, but you had to walk through it to get to the restaurant. After seeing the hotel I wouldn't have wanted to eat there anyway, so we did not explore that part of the hotel. The pool looked quite nice but again not clean. Good location, though not in Boulder City as I had expected. The hotel is about 4 miles out of town, next to Lake Mead and minutes away from Hoover Dam.
