Is it too early to start to bid for a Manhattan Hotel for Dec 4-10 ?

It is not too early to start a bid for this period - the issue with this time period is that it is the prime period for holiday shopping and festivities - this is also one of the most expensive periods of the year. What would be your desired star rating, budget per night and which zone/s would be acceptable?

I tend to be an early bidder and usually have great luck! It gives you time to work up to a max bid with being worried.

However, I've been bidding for the next weekend in Dec with no luck so far. Much more expensive than when I have visited in the spring or fall previously. I'm up to $220 for a 4* in TS, CPS, MTW, ESB, MSG, and Soho and $175 for a 3,5* in TS, ESB and Soho.

This unfortunately is definitely a busy time, although the second half of December (aside from NYE) is (at least traditionally) usually a little better in comparison.

I will be in NYC (Manhattan) 1st week in December. When should I start to bid. The Hotwire 3 star Empire State Bldg area for $201, is this the Bedford Hotel ? Do you think I can do better bidding on Priceline ?
