Priceline Hotel: 4* Atlantic City - Cape May (Atlantic City Area) The Chelsea Hotel

I used the Better Bidding WinAlerts app to check pricing on HOTWIRE and also PRICELINE Express. I saw a 4* for $91 on PRICELINE EXPRESS with a free Internet amenity, so I opened up my bid at $81. I had a little bidders remorse as my bid was accepted right away, but there is no looking back. The casino rate at the Tropicana was $142 and at the Golden Nugget, $149.

Room Cost: $81.00

Taxes and Fees: $21.47

Total: $102.47

At check in, I reminded the clerk my reservation was for the Chelsea, not the Annex and we were given an early check in. Overall, the room is great and I am pleased with my bid compared with rates for comparable properties for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend.

The Chelsea is really trying to be uber hip with a lounge, oceanfront restaurant and pool on the 5th floor that is open until 3 am and another restaurant/lounge in the Annex. I am comfortable, but I feel a bit mature for its target demographic, though. If you are a light sleeper, get a room on a higher floor on weekends. I would absolutely stay here again, just walk out through the valet parking area and cross the street to get to the Tropicana.
