yellowdog
If the price is more important than knowing the possible name of a hotel should you go with PRICELINE and try to undercut the HOTWIRE price.I can see that you have edit your post but please let us know if you have decided to go with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE before we move on.Please use the board's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your purchases and searchesYellowdog. jmsnyc
... or at least what type of hotel/experience you are looking for from this stay. Are you looking to spend $150+ per nite on a hotel for this trip OR looking to keep it more in the $50 range?I am not sure. But the reason I post here is to id the hotels. With all due respect, it seems to be a lot of trouble to get feedback on ids of hotels on this forum.I'm not looking to spend $150 a night, and I wrote that I consider that an expensive option. If the $57 is the Trump which Im guessing it might be I think thats a good price. Ideally, I want to be around $90 and $120 for a 5* on the strip, preferably with a casino. I know that might be unrealistic. And Im curious whether booking through name your own price or unnamed hotel has any result on resort fees?I am not partial to HOTWIRE or PRICELINE - I simply want the best deal. Link to comment

dahammer
I am not sure. But the reason I post here is to id the hotels. With all due respect, it seems to be a lot of trouble to get feedback on ids of hotels on this forum.I guess I use the resources of BetterBidding a bit differently. I always thought the purpose of this board is to research the winning PRICELINE bids and HOTWIRE posts made by other board members, make a winning bid or purchase, and report the results. By doing this, I feel I am helping others who may be seeking similar accommodations, like returning a favor. Link to comment
thereuare
With all due respect, it seems to be a lot of trouble to get feedback on ids of hotels on this forum.Any delay in having your posts responded to has been a result of not using the requested links on the board OR not following-up a previous thread(s). Following-up your threads with your results (or whatever decision you made for that stay) helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone, as well as is a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your trip.In regards to your original post above, 2 out of the 3 hotels you asked about are over your desired budget (you previously said that they were expensive, not that you wouldn't consider them at that price) so to save time, and to help make sure that everyone looking for help is answered in a timely manner, we make sure that these are possible/realistic options for you before taking the time to research them (which i suspect was also the meaning behind yellowdog's previous post when it appeared that perhaps you were no longer interested in HOTWIRE and would be pursuing PRICELINE instead). For the 4* Strip South HOTWIRE hotel above, is there also a Travel Accessible amenity listed for this property as this is what i'm currently seeing for the 4* hotel in this zone when searching for your dates:Resort Free Parking Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel AccessibleRoom Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in ShowerIf this is the actual list of amenities you're seeing my best guess for this one would be the Monte Carlo. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. jmsnyc
Just updating this thread with what I went with:I found a promo booking direct with any MGM brand hotels provided a discount plus a resort credit up to $200 for a minimum stay of 2 nights. The promo is in conjunction with Royal Caribbean though cruises have nothing to do with it and the promo is open to anyone. Some resorts were less than $200 but Bellagio and Aria were $200. The credit was good for food and drinks spent in the hotel. I was booking for 4 nights, and the terms of the promo state that consecutive reservations are not entitled to two promos (in other words, booking back to back 2 night reservations at Bellagio, you could not get it twice) so we decided to book 2 nights at Bellagio and two nights at Aria to see if we could get around the terms and get the $200 twice. So the rooms averaged about $150 a night ($130 weekday rate, $170 weekend rate) less $100 per day in resort credit. $600 total before taxes and fees for 5* hotel and $400 in resort credit. Thought this deal was worth not using hotwire or priceline for my dates. Link to comment
