ChupaChups
Thought I would post to share another data point: Priceline bid of $46 ($61 with taxes) and got The Chelsea Hotel. I called the hotel right afterwards to confirm that Priceline wins are for one of the rooms in the Luxe Tower and not one of the dreaded rooms in the Annex (which I understand used to be part of a motel). As for my bid process, I started about two weeks ago and bid on an almost-daily basis starting with $35, then gradually went up to $40 (hoping to get Harrah's at that price), for 4 stars level at all times. With the free re-bids, I added the Abescon area hoping to get the Seaview which is where I am staying the night following The Chelsea. In retrospect, maybe I should have considered booking at the Golden Nugget directly through their website since it would have been $52 ($58.76 with tax) but I figured it would be nice to take a stroll on the boardwalk in the morning after breakfast.
