Is this for April, May, or some later month?

Did you submit the $50 bid (entered your credit card details and clicked the BUY MY TICKET button) and PRICELINE rejected your $50 bid but said they could get you a ticket for $120... OR did you enter $50 and the next page (before entering any credit card info) shows that after taxes/fees the total would be $120?

3rd one thanks that was fast :D

Do you mean:

... OR did you enter $50 and the next page (before entering any credit card info) shows that after taxes/fees the total would be $120?

When i enter a $50 bid for this route i get a total price of $101.05 (maybe you opted for insurance bringing it to $120??). Anyway, if this is the screen you're looking at, and have not yet submitted your credit card info, PRICELINE has not looked at your bid or yet checked inventory for this route... this screen is simply asking you to review your information before it is submitted (since if accepted the purchase is non-refundable)

What is the current 'retail' fare for this route? Is $120 your maximum bid?

Assuming you mean a $120 bid price (and not all-in price after taxes/fees), with taxes for this route ~$50 and retail rates at $500, you're basically trying to get the airlines to sell you a $450 based fare ($500 tix - $50 taxes = $450 base fare) for $120 for which i would say the chances are very low.

If you want to give it a try you have an almost unlimited number of re-bid zones available when bidding on airfare, as per this Priceline Airfare Bidding thread. You can start with $75 (or whatever other amount you'd like) and increase $5-$10 per re-bid. Any questions feel free to ask.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Niky81,

In thereuare's 12 April 2013 - 12:30 AM post he answered your question:

"You can start with $75 (or whatever other amount you'd like) and increase $5-$10 per re-bid."

In the same post he also directed you to another thread for learning how to get lots of bids.

Bidding is free, so one really can start as low as one would like.
