LHFlyer
If $111 was pre-tax - that's a poor deal. I stayed last new year for $160 one night, $80 second. Including limo airport transfers, dinner, breakfast etc. Their rate last Xmas/New year was $90 on marriott.com. Link to comment
Angelphace
It was pre-tax. :) I got confused with my bidding and forgot to drop my price when I added 4* to my choices. I had previously been trying to get a 5* Riverside hotel for this price, which would have been a good deal!Still, there's nothing I can do about it now. I've learnt my lesson the hard way! thereuare
Did you win the 5* JW Marriott? (or a different hotel or has the rating changes??) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Chris26WI
Did you try Priceline's best price guarantee, if you found a cheaper price for same period in asiarooms.com? Link to comment
Angelphace
It was the 5* JW Marriott. I believe that the other Marriott in Bangkok, The Marriott Riverside, is classified as a 4* by Priceline.Chris, I didn't realise they had a best price guarantee. I'll check it out on their website. Thanks for the tip! Link to comment
Angelphace
Thanks to Chris i've now been refunded approximately $10 (the rate had gone up in the last 2 days). They gave me the refund even though I failed to contact Priceline within the requisite 24 hour period they specify in their guarantee. This brings my rate down to $106 pre tax.
