Please click each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links, then reply to this thread and we'll have a look at your post above.

Is there something in particular you're looking for from this stay that makes the 2* a consideration when it is lower rated and $10 more per nite then the 3.5* in the same zone?

Best guess for the 3.5* would be the Sheraton City Center.

However, instead of the 2* hotel (much lower rated and more expensive then the 3.5*) why not go the other way and look at the 4* hotel in the Downtown zone for $121/nite. This property shows a 95% recommendation from previous HOTWIRE guests and has gets 4.5/5.0 across the board for all the criteria that HOTWIRE asks previous guests to rate. My guess for this property is the Hilton Baltimore, but if you are interested in this property let us know as i think there is a better way to play it.

No, i was going to suggest purchasing thru HOTWIRE so that you would be able to take a guess as to the hotel offered which would give you some insight as to the location, and even if you/we guessed the hotel wrong, you'd still have somewhat of a safety net of the hotel being well located by choosing a hotel with a high user feedback rating for 'location of hotel'.

If price is the primary objective and you're willing to accept a hotel anywhere within the zone boundaries, then PRICELINE would likely be your better/cheaper option... but if you're trying to target a specific part of the zone and/or have some insight as to the hotel's location before your purchase, then HOTWIRE would be a better option.

Are you willing to pay $121/nite for this stay?

Let us know which service you think is more inline with your objectives for this trip and we'll advise accordingly.
