hotelfinder
What's the best way to go after this deal? Looking to be in the NYC (Murray Hill/ESB area) 3N 2/21 (Thurs/Fri/Sat) or 2N 2/22 (Fri/Sat). Thanks. High Budget $115 + Tax. Prefer no resort fee if at all possible to avoid. Link to comment
thereuare
As the ESB zone is larger then just Murray Hill, are you willing to accept a hotel anywhere within this zone? Is the ESB zone the only zone you're willing to accept? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and please click each of these links before replying.Thanks. thereuare
If you haven't already read the first few posts of Priceline Re-Bidding Explained. If you're still confused try the following:1) Use the PRICELINE search box on the upper right of this page, enter 'New York City, NY' and your dates, and click "GO".2) List each zone that is offered in this region. 3) Next to each zone list the highest star rating offered in the zone. The way to determine the highest star rating offered in the zone is by selecting the first zone i the list, then scrolling down to see the highest star rating selectable (ie- not greyed out). NEXT UNcheck the selected zone, place a checkmark in the next zone, and repeat the process for each zone in the region. Each time you take note of the highest star rating in the zone, make sure that only ONE zone is selected above.4) post your findings and we'll take it from thereIf you don't follow the above just post back and we'll break it down further. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
You should include the zone names, not the numbers, as the numbers will change whenever PRICELINE adds, removes, or renames any of the zones.Using what you posted above, do you see that if you bid for a 4* hotel and included both Zone7 and Zone4 in your bidding, that if you were successful the hotel would have to be in Zone7 since Zone4 only has hotels that are rated less than the star level (4*) that you were bidding?Does that make sense? If so, see if you can list all the zones where the highest star level is less than 4* (so 3.5* and less)... and probably best to convert to PRICELINE zone name rather than the zone numbers to avoid any confusion going forward. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
