thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet, please start by reading your messages. Then, please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.Using the method above, what is the room rate per nite in US Dollars? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. thereuare
1. Chelsea - Knightsbridge - Harrods area hotelUSD $241 per night (£$494 other sites) / Tripadvisor rating 4.5/5.0==> Best guess for this property would be the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour.2. Chelsea - Knightsbridge - Harrods area hotel I think this is USD $318 per night, but the US site isn't showing any amenities (?)==>while there are no amenities showing on the 'splash' page with all the offers, if you click-thru on the subsequent page you'll see all of the amenities that you have listed for this property (on the US site). However, this property has not yet been reported to the board and i don't have any insight as to which one it may be.3. Mayfair - Piccadilly Circus - Soho area hotel==> The InterContinental Park Lane or the Hyatt Regency The Churchill would be my best guess here. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. robbyefe
Hi thereuare, Thanks very much for the suggestions. Having had a look I'd agree with you on 1. As for 3. I was hopeful it could be the Intercontinental Park Lane, but both that and the Churchill have rack rates of upwards of $600 per night. Do you really get such big discounts through hotwire? If it is a 90% chance it is one of these two then I would definitely opt for the deal!! All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rob Link to comment
AaronJB
Significant discounts such as those are not unheard of via either PRICELINE or HOTWIRE.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
robbyefe
Just followed the link and made the Purchase. Intercontinental Park Lane. Looks to be at least a $300 saving per night assuming I have the most basic room package. Many Thanks for all your help. Is there anything I can do to review/post the result?Rob Link to comment
