hippagun Posted February 4, 2013 Report Share Posted February 4, 2013 Hey biddersI have been extensively trying to bid for any decent hotel in New orleans (french quarter or downtown or even closer ) for Mardi grass between 2/8/13-2/10/13 and I also went high till 130 $ to bid atleast a single star hotel as I have only less than a week now but have not tasted success.Any suggestions on bidding as this is my first time bidding .. It's possible that hotels may not allow 1 or 2 night stays during Mardi Gras.Yesterday, someone had a priceline hotel win for 3 nights 2/8-11 @ $99.If you bid $130, that's $260 for the two nights. Try a 3 night bid @ $85 ($255 total) and see what happens. (Since the dates are different, you don't have to wait to rebid). Link to comment

hippagun Posted February 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2013 Thanks for your help..I some how got offered a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal at 4 star JW Marriott New Orleans for 136/night..I dint wait a sec to bid but booked the express deal as I had already been bidding from 1 mnth and never found any 1 star hotel deal for the same price :) Link to comment
