cooljw
I'm searching for a hotel for 4 nights 9/25/05-9/29/05. I see the following 2* on Hotwire for $56:Mira Mesa (Other Areas) - See mapSelected amenities include: Kitchenette, Laundry Facilities (self-service).The only Hotwire hotel listed for the Mira Mesa zone is a 3* Staybridge Suites - so I'm confused, did I find a new Hotwire hotel? Also, I've already bid on Priceline for a 2.5* up to $70 for the Mira Mesa zone (Priceline calls it Sorrento Mesa) and I got rejected! So I'm inclined to take this $56 hotel on Hotwire.Any insight would be appreciated. Link to comment
shammes53
I think what you are seeing is the 2* Homestead San Diego Mira Mesa Amenities: Kitchenette, LaundryThis was taken from the Hotwire Hotel Lists - California in the lower section where information has been obtained doing a package search. I have done my own package search for your dates and come up with the same results:Homestead San Diego Mira Mesa 9880 Pacific Heights Boulevard, San Diego, California - same amenitiesThe Homestead site refers to this hotel as: Homestead Studio Suites San Diego - Sorrento Mesa Direct rates for your dates are $113.99 per night Studio Suite - one Queen Bed (lowest price room)Looks like a pretty good deal - Hope this helps out :) Link to comment
cooljw
Thanks shammes53! Indeed looks like the Homestead suites (I didn't see the bottom of the hotel list, it is there).Seems like slim pickins for a cheap but decent hotel in San Diego. I've read mixed reviews about Homestead Suites, most complaints seem to involve dirty rooms since they only get cleaned once a week. I'm trying to find something decent for less than $75 all in per night for 4 nights 9/25-9/29. Perhaps I should start a new thread asking for suggestions... Link to comment
