haes75
How would your suggest a bid for a one night hotel stay at Binghamton? There is only 1 or 2*. I was wondering what is a good starting figure. Link to comment
homeschoolmom
Sorry, I can't advise you on PL in BGM, but I'll throw out what I do know. I would bid on the 2.5* in Vestal, if I did any bidding in that area. We did like the Fairfield Inn in BGM, though, although it'd prob. cost you about $100. It had by far the best pool of any FI I've seen... indoor, with a vaulted wood ceiling, and as warm as bathwater (I realize this is not as big a deal in the summer, but we were watching snow flurries through the floor-to-ceiling windows while we swam). Oh, yeah, and, besides the cont. bfast, they had free cookies! Please report back after you bid; I'll be very interested to hear what you get. Good luck! Link to comment
dhammer53
Try www.roomsaver.comClick on New York. Then click on Bing. Some discount hotels listed. Also, the I-81 corridor just north of Bing is loaded with cheap hotels. Link to comment
dahammer
the 2.5* in Vestal might be the Marriott Courtyard, or even the Residence Inn although this has not yet been reported, both nice properties.PS, you might want to check out a restaurant called "Number 5" in Binghamton, or if you like Japanese "hibachi" cooking, check out Kampai in Vestal. The 1* and 2* properties are probably the ones that are at the intersection of Rt. 81 and Rt. 17, one of them is a former Howard Johnson's, so it must be pretty aweful if it is no longer part of that chain. There is a former Ramada Inn in Binghamton that is equally bad. Link to comment
