Hi,

I am arriving at LA on August 16, and will need to sleep over for one night, before driving up north to Bakersfield, the following day.

I need a nice play to stay - a 3* would be perfect, though I wouldn't mind some 2.5* (the woman's wishes, not mine).

I don't really care about locations - so long as it is quite nice....everywhere is pretty close to the I-5.

what bidding strategy would you advice - we are willing to pay close to $60-$70 for the night.

I decided to start with a 4* bid at LAX, and if rejected, I can utilize the number of rebid zones (3*) available.

So I started with an offer of $65 for a 4* at LAX area. It was accepted the first time - for the Sheraton Gateway Hotel (regular internet price is $199.00).
