Priceline Hotel: 3* Grand Junction Grand Vista Hotel

We wanted to stay next to the Colorado National Monument, so I started bidding at $40 for a 3* and got a "one time" counter offer of raising the price by $12 to get it. I agreed, and this is what I ended up with:

Grand Vista Hotel

Price: $52.00 + $13.34 = $65.34

Orbitz lists it for $70 + fees, so it's a pretty good deal, if not an exceptional one.

Reviews were mostly negative, but the hotel turned out to be quite nice, with free Wi-Fi and a large 24-hour indoor pool with a jacuzzi.

Incidentally, as I was signing the Guest Card, I noted that the "Prepaid Amount" was $49.79, so this is apparently what the hotel got paid, for whatever that's worth.

Great! I'm staying there in October, and was a bit worried after reading reviews on Tripadvisor.....good to hear it's not a total dump!
