Started bidding at $95 and progressed through the areas, increasing $5 each time. No success. Checked regular booking site and most hotels (including the Portola) were showing no vacancies. Changed browser and credit card and tried again, on first bid of $122 was offered $155. Declined and continued to bid again through the areas. Successful at $137. This was pretty high - Priceline commented that I had saved 23%! But the worst part was being charged $22/day resort fee upon arrival. Oh well, at least we didn't have to pay for parking. Every once in a while we don't hit the best deals, but still love the process, and it was nice to see the new, easier to navigate Better Bidding website. Especially appreciate when people post their wins - that really helps.Happy travels all! Link to comment
