Priceline Hotel: Dublin Ireland room rates

For the last three months I have been routinely submitting bids for three 4-star rooms in Dublin in Sept and Oct. I saw from previous posted bids that 4-star typically go for $70-$80 but my high bids of $90-Sept and $85-Oct always fail.

Is it just too soon or has the Dublin hotel market changed? Or does my need for 3 rooms really limit my chances? If it is just timing, any idea as to when I might start to expect success in this price range?

Related question - I link to PRICELINE using the link from Better bidding but whenever I want to use Priceline's Bonus cash I need to log in to Priceline and reenter my trip info. Does Betterbidding still get credit for the link?

TIA

With drastic currency fluctuations over the last year, it can skew what bids are currently needed when making year-over-year comparisons.

I did find The Morgan for $130 for your first set of dates and it is fully refundable (always check the cancellations terms yourself during the checkout process). If this is of interest you could book this as a back-up and continue to try PRICELINE / HOTWIRE for lower rates in the weeks/months ahead.

Your thoughts?

Thanks again for the help but back in March I did book the Ashling in Dublin for $112.80/night for Sept 18-21 and at $100.39/night for Oct 5-9 and it is fully refundable with at least 24 hours notice so I think I have that covered.

I guess I just have to be more patient and maybe rates will come done closer to the actual dates.

Regards,

Ed
