fitz16
After seeing wins and wanting the Pfister @ $59, I mistakingly started bidding at $59 and won the Hyatt instead onthe first try. In retrospect, I wonder if I started at $55 and moved up, like the previous poster, if it would have made a difference. While not overall happy with the win and reviews for this Hyatt it's only 1 night and I'll survive. As usual, used the PRICELINE link on this site. Thanks Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success. :)Rates and inventory vary by date and there is no way to ensure a particular property when bidding. Two different posters could get different hotels if inventory of one runs out - there's no way to know. This is still a very good deal for this Milwaukee property in the Summer.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay. thereuare
As the other user's priceline win was for $59/nite it was best that you did bid that number from the start, but the 'mistake' (if there was one) is assuming that you would receive the same hotel as the other user when your dates are different than theirs. Hotel rates are very date dependent so the strategy was flawed if you were bidding with the expectation of receiving the same hotel.Glad to see it's just one nite and you can still make this work for your needs.Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
